The following projects display my proficiency and experience with Adobe Illustrator.
Snapchat Geofilter
As the Director of Public Relations for the 2017 Miss LSU-USA Pageant, I created a Snapchat Geofilter using Adobe Illustrator. This filter was used on the day of the pageant and earned over 500 impressions and over 45,000 views. This displays my ability to utilize Adobe Illustrator and social media to promote an organization's event.
Self Portrait
For this project I used a current image of myself to create a self-portrait. This was done by using the pen tool and gradient tool in Adobe Illustrator. It was a fun project that tested and expanded my knowledge of the program.
Calendar
I created a twelve month, dessert-themed calendar in Adobe Illustrator. For this project, I utilized the pen tool to create the shapes and then used masks to give the shapes a watercolor effect. I then created patterns from the shapes I created. Below are images of the patterns I created for June (popsicles), July (snowballs), and August (donuts).
Typeface and Type Specimen
For this project I created a typeface out of dots that were aligned to a grid. I then took this font and created a type specimen poster, in order to display each letter of the font and give a brief description of it. This project shows my ability to successfully work with Adobe Illustrator, while understanding composition and contrast, and leveraging technology to display this.

Magazine Layout
I created a magazine layout based off of the popular magazine, InStyle, and focused on the fashion designer, Lela Rose. The cover page was designed to be a replica of the actual InStyle cover page, while the interior of the magazine layout was created to fit to the grid of the magazine. This shows my ability to adhere to an established layout when designing new content. This project is also an example of my written work, since it contains a research paper on Lela Rose, specifically the history of her brand and her work.
This project displays my writing ability as well as my proficiency in Adobe InDesign. For this project, I wrote a research paper on the Italian typographer, Giambattista Bodoni, and the typeface he created. I then took that paper and used the layout and design to display a visual representation of the typeface.
I created a photo essay style layout using photos that I took. After creating this layout, I was able to turn it into a Christmas card for the family. This project shows my photography skills as well as my ability to create a cohesive layout using photos and solve problems using Adobe InDesign.

Miniature World
This project was created in Adobe Photoshop. It shows my ability to adjust colors to match a background, resize various images, create shadows, and work with layers to create a cohesive image. I wanted to make this miniature world photo appear realistic, so I worked to ensure that each layer blended together seamlessly.
Facebook Cover Photo
As the Director of Public Relations for the 2017 Miss LSU-USA Pageant, I created an image that could be used as a Facebook cover photo in order to promote the pageant. I used layers in Photoshop to create this image. This shows my ability to utilize Adobe Photoshop to create images that fit the brand of an organization.
